The idea behind this transition frame is to show how both genders embody similar characteristics, hence the same form of the lotus has been used. I have tried to show the differences in personality by playing with the type for each.
While feminine has a more cursive feel using a lower case, masculine has a more bold look using uppercase letters. The difference in type subtly shows the stereotypes that are still embedded in us, and the small differences each gender has.
The splash represents the wave of change explaining the ‘transition’ from feminine to masculine. It reflects the society trying to be more forgiving and accepting as the rigid stereotypes slowly wash away.
